- Inspected and Found – We found codes P0300 (Random Cylinder Misfire), P0014-00 (Exhaust Valve Timing Control) and P0017-00 (Crankshaft Position Bank 1, Sensor B. On the test drive after clearing the codes, P0017-00 reset. We found that the exhaust camshaft VVT control solenoid is not operating properly. We tested and found all of the circuits and signals are correct. The exhaust camshaft timing control solenoid is defective and will need to be replaced.
- VARIABLE VALVE TIMING SOLENOID – Remove & Replace – Bank 1, Exhaust
- Inspected & Found – The transmission fluid may be due for service, based on mileage. All of the other vehicle fluids are full and in good condition. The tune up items may be due for replacement, based on mileage. The belts and coolant hoses are in good condition. Front and rear brakes are all at about 70%.
