Services Performed
- Inspected and Found – Although we did not hear any noise from the front differential, the front axles are always locked. It does not like to go in or out of 4 wheel drive. We are suggesting starting with the 4×4 transfer case encoder motor and see if the axle actuator starts working after the encoder motor is replaced. It may need the axle actuator as well, or, on the rare occasion, the transfer case control module.
- TRANSFER CASE ENCODER MOTOR – Remove & Replace – [NOTE: Labor estimates listed are for R&R only and DOES NOT include diagnosis time.]
- DISC ROTOR – Remove & Replace – 1500 Front,Both – [Includes: Repack Wheel Bearings (where applicable) and replace Pads (if necessary). DOES NOT include refinishing.]
- Inspected & Found – The transmission fluid is starting to get dark. The rear differential chrome cover is starting to leak. The coolant is due for a flush based on time, depending on when it was last serviced. All of the other vehicle fluids are full and in good condition. The tune up items are in good condition. The belts are showing signs of wear. The coolant hoses are in good condition. Front brakes are new. Rear brakes are at about 40%.
