  • Inspected and found – We found the rear pinion nut to have been slightly backed off, causing the clunking noise. We applied thread-lock and re-set the preload on the pinion bearing.
  • KICKDOWN BAND – Adjustment – 4WD – Includes Transmission Flush
  • FUEL FILTER – Remove & Replace – Diesel Engine
  • Inspected & Found – The transmission shifts soft into 2nd gear due to the brands being out of adjustment and the fluid being dark. We recommend flushing the fluid, replacing the filter, and tightening the bands to take care of this issue. All of the other vehicle fluids, belts, and coolant hoses are in good condition at this time. The front brakes have approx. 15% remaining The rear brakes have approx. 25% remaining The fuel filter may be due if it has never been replaced before. The steering wheel does not return-to-center due to the gear box beginning to fail and will need to be replaced. The ball joints have some slight play at this time. There is a growling noise coming from the front tires being cupped, due to failed shocks.

  • Inspected and Found – The tires are worn out on the inside edges. We could not duplicate the noise. All of the brakes are at 60% or better. The only noise we hear was from a can of spray paint in the back. The turn signals do not self cancel. This is likely due to a faulty turn signal switch.

  • Inspected and Found – We found several throttle body codes and cleared them. Code P2110 returned. We inspected the throttle body and found the intake bellows had been removed from the throttle body. We then found insulation from the battery in the throttle body. We removed the insulation that was wrapped up in the throttle body shaft, cleared the code again and it does not return. The engine oil cooler is leaking oil in the engine valley.
  • Inspected & Found – The transmission and power steering fluids are getting dark. The torque converter has some shuddering. Recommend starting with a transmission service, however, there is no guarantee that this will fix this issue. The engine oil cooler is leaking onto the intake valley. All of the other vehicle fluids are full and in good condition. All of the tune up items, belts, and coolant hoses are in good condition at this time. Front and rear brakes are all at about 30%.

  • Inspected and Found – There were history codes P2128, C1009, and B2213 stored. We cleared them and they have not returned. There is no visible coolant in the radiator. We see no leaks at this time. The coolant that is visible in the recovery bottle is in poor condition. We recommend starting with a thorough coolant flush. The heater core and/or radiator may be plugged as well, but we won't know for sure until after the coolant flush. Afterwards the heat from the vents still fluctuates as well as the temperature gauge. We recommend getting an OE thermostat from the dealer and trying that to correct this issue.
  • RADIATOR – Remove & Replace – V8,Automatic Trans
  • COOLING SYSTEM – Clean & Flush – (Includes Back Flush Heater Core)

  • Inspected and Found – The Check Engine Light is not on at this time. There was a stored code of P0111 (Intake Air Temperature Sensor Performance). This is a correlation type code. The PCM looks at ambient air temps, intake air temps, and coolant temps. The PCM then sets a code if it sees any of those sensors reading something that it thinks it shouldn't compared to the others. This was likely caused during the recent high ambient temperatures. We cleared the codes and none of them returned.
