    • Inspected and Found – We found codes P0024 (B Camshaft Position – Timing Over-Advanced or System Performance Bank 2), P0300 (Random Cylinder Misfire Detected), P0420 (Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold Bank 1), P0496 (EVAP System High Purge Flow), & P1682 (Ignition 1 Switch Circuit 2). None of the codes returned after the first test drive, but code P1682 did reset once the no-crank condition happened. We found excessive voltage drop across the power train relay #33, installed a known good fuse, and now the voltage is steady, but code P1628 is still present. When the no-crank occurs, we found the starter is losing command from the PCM (Powertrain Control Module). And after verifying all of the powers and grounds are good at the module, we found it is defective and will need to be replaced.

    • Inspected & Found – The transmission fluid is just starting to get dark. A tune-up may be due based off of mileage. All of the other vehicle fluids, belts, and coolant hoses are in good condition at this time. The front brakes have approx. 80% remaining. The rear brakes have approx. 50% remaining. We could feel a tire out-of-balance and found inner edge wear. Both of these items will need to be repaired at a tire shop.

    • Inspected and Found – We test drove the vehicle twice and the engine never cut out. The idle does go high after driving for awhile. It drops back to normal if the engine is shut off and restarted. The TPS signal is erratic at times. The high idle happens because of minimum TPS changes. We suspect the TPS is causing the problem that is being experienced, however, we are not able to duplicate the issue at this time to verify. The customer has elected to replace the TPS at this time.

All of the other vehicle fluids, belts, and coolant hoses are in good condition at this time. The front brakes have approx. 40% remaining The rear brakes have approx. 20% remaining The steering rack and pinion is leaking, and possibly the pump as well. The oil pressure sensor and camshaft phaser actuator are both leaking. The turn signal switch is broken at the stem and doesn't always cancel after turning, indicating something may be wrong with the clockspring.
