- Inspected and Found – We found code P0128 (Coolant Thermostat – Coolant Temperature Below Thermostat Regulating Temperature), indicating a stuck open thermostat and keeping the cooling fan on after the vehicle is shut off. The battery is also testing poor at 65%. During our final test drive, the check engine light returned with code P0430 (Catalyst Efficiency Below Threshold Bank 2), and will need a new catalytic converter to repair.
- THERMOSTAT – Remove & Replace
- BATTERY – Remove & Replace
- Inspected & Found – The transmission fluid is very dark and the torque converter is slipping/shuddering, indicating the transmission is most likely beginning to fail. All of the other vehicle fluids, tune-up items, belts, and coolant hoses are in good condition at this time. Both front and rear brakes have approx. 60% remaining
