- It will shut off when you open the passenger door. Sometimes it won't work for months, then it will start working again. Inspected and Found – The passenger side was not acting up at this time. The driver side door switch is still testing good at this time. We traced the circuit back and found a spread terminal in the plug of the drivers door module. We were able to adjust the pin and get good contact again. All functions are working properly at this time.
